We acknowledge that we are located within the Regional Municipality of Durham, on the traditional and treaty territories of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, part of the larger Anishinaabe territory.

This land is covered by the Williams Treaties and remains home to many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We honour the enduring presence, knowledge, and stewardship of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation and recognize their continued relationship to these lands and waters.

As an Indigenous-led cultural and creative hub, we understand that land acknowledgment is not a formality — it is a responsibility. We commit to uplifting Indigenous voices, supporting economic sovereignty, and contributing to reconciliation through action, education, and community collaboration.
